According to Sky sports and various other sites Marc Albrighton is close to a return from his broken foot and should be back sometime next month.
Aston Villa winger Marc Albrighton is hoping to be back playing next month
Aston Villa winger Marc Albrighton is hoping to be back playing at the start of next month after a 'frustrating' period on the sidelines.
Albrighton has yet to feature under manager Paul Lambert this term after suffering a stress fracture to his foot during pre-season training.
However, he returned to training on Sunday and is now eager to get back on the pitch with the rest of his Villa team-mates.
"It's been so frustrating. It's dragged out like it's been years," Albrighton told the club's official website.
"But it's going well now. I started training on Sunday and I did some more training on Tuesday. Hopefully I will have a couple of weeks to get sharp and then I can get going again.
"I have been doing full training with the group. I had a few sessions with the fitness coach and the physios previously and it went fine. Touch wood, I'm back now.
"It's a dream to be back. Watching the lads over the last couple of games has been fantastic. But there's nothing like playing."
Hopefully This is true as I am a big fan of Albrighton, Ok last season he underperformed but so did 90% of the first team and if you had Mcleish in charge wouldn't you?. Hopefully this season he will be back to the player I saw against West Ham and Manchester Utd. I have also posted a link from the Birmingham mail about Albrighton revealing that he trained with the broken foot for a week before he realised how bad it was.
